In person and Zoom classes

Monday Chair Class

On Zoom: Mondays at 10.30-11.15am

£8 per class when paying for a block, or £10 for a one-off class.

Do you have difficulty getting up and down to the floor or have you experienced an injury preventing you from doing this?

These lessons are especially useful for people new to Feldenkrais® who would like to find some ease in their everyday activities. Participants have attended in their 60s to 90s, people with arthritis, Parkinson's disease or simply wanting to keep moving and improving as they age but not wanting to get down to the floor.

This class offers a great start to your week. Participants use the strategies from class as part of their day-to-day movement routine/practice.

NB: We use the same Zoom link for every class. Email if you find you need it again.

This term, we’ll be looking to improve walking.  We’ll start from the ground up, clarifying how our feet support us to shift over one leg and the other. It’s quite a balancing act! How does your pelvis play a crucial roll in managing the forces coming down through your head and moveable spine and the push up from the ground forces through each of your legs and feet.

This series will be ideal for beginners  but also a great opportunity for those of you with more experience, to refine your ability to sense yourself, and ask can things be even simpler? Using your awareness you’ll have time to take a pause, tune in again to what you do and move with greater ease and grace, breathing more fully and connecting with yourself as we slide into winter. As well as your movement these sessions benefit your mood and sense of well being, finding your own inner support, helping you to slow down, improve your breathing and bring space and calm to your inner world and then into your interactions with others.

All classes are recorded and will be sent by Wetransfer when you send a request via email after the class. As usual, let me know when you will be attending so I can send the Zoom link and if you come for the whole series you can swap days if you have clashes.

Please let me know in advance.

NB: We use the same Zoom link for every class. Email if you find you need it again.

There are yoga mats at the centre but do feel free to bring your own.

NB: Give yourself time to arrive. I have to lock the door to the Centre so it’s not possible to arrive late and join in. Text me in good time if you have an issue.
